Lost Creek Cruzers is a part of the Austin Hills Swim League (AHSL). This team is a summer recreational swim team designed for the development of all legal strokes while having fun in the pool. LC Cruzers was founded in 1981 at the famous Lost Creek Country Club. The first meet was swum in the "upper pool." Today LC Cruzers fills its roster with 150+ swimmers down in the lap pool, and competes against seven other local summer rec teams.
Our program goals are centered around learning how to swim in a safe, positive environment while having fun. Our team is a combination of swimmers, ranging in abilities, from ages 5-18. The team competes weekly, with some of our meets on Friday night, and some on Saturday morning. Our season begins with afternoon practices on Monday, April 30th, moving to mornings on Monday, June 4th, and ends with a league wide "All Star Meet" on Monday, June 25th. We also have an awards ceremony Sunday evening, June 24th, and various incentive days during the season.
The Cruzers would not exist without parent voluteers. This is an integral part of the team's success. Volunteer opportunities include being a part of the managing board and helping make swim meets run smoothly. Our team is constantly growing while training young swimmers to maintain a well rounded swim team. Thank you for joining us. We look forward to seeing you down at the pool!
